# Hyperbolic raises $30 million to build a global GPU compute grid

*Funding · 2 Nov 2026*

Hyperbolic, the San Francisco GPU cloud aggregator, has raised $30 million in an oversubscribed Series A1 round led by Walden Catalyst, the firm co-founded by Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan. The company announced the round on 27 October 2026. Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital and Salience Capital also took part. Total capital raised now stands at $50 million.

The money goes to Forge, Hyperbolic's control plane for provisioning and moving AI workloads across GPU providers, and to the first Global Compute Grid. The grid is meant to let customers buy, sell and resell eligible GPU capacity through one marketplace. Hyperbolic says spot pricing and market-making tools are on its roadmap; they are not yet an established trading market.

Hyperbolic currently works with about 30 specialised AI cloud providers. According to Business Insider, about $200 million in annual compute capacity is connected to the platform. The company does not state which payment methods its marketplace accepts, so this article makes no claim about crypto payments.
