# Citadel's Frank Flight sees pricing power in firm H100 rental rates

*Other · 2 Nov 2026*

Forward pricing for Nvidia's older-generation H100 GPUs remains firm, and that points to potential pricing power for GPU providers with limited computing capacity, Citadel's Frank Flight said on 30 October 2026.

Rates for longer rental periods sit below spot levels. Flight said this gap reflects different contract durations rather than prices falling over time, while forward rental rates have stayed firm. Forward curves show the rental rates across contract terms, including prices implied for future rental periods. They describe the cost of renting GPU capacity, not the resale price of a physical H100 card.

For buyers of GPU capacity, the comparison matters because short-term spot prices and longer contracts currently price differently. Providers on the cryptogpuss.com list set their own rates, so the spot and contract prices on each provider's offer page remain the reference.
